My Maybelline Baby Lips Collection - & Why I love them!

Hi everyone!

I am going to talk about a line of products that are by no means new - but I want my 2c out there anyway :)

It's the Maybelline Baby Lips! This is my own personal collection of them:

I'm going to admit, what inspired this post was a good friend of mine going through my humble cosmetic pouch this week.

She was enjoying herself, pulling out items and asking what things were, when near the end she pulls out two of my baby lips and throws me a confused look.

"Athy, do you really need two of these?"

In short, my answer is no - I need AT LEAST EIGHT OF THESE.

I'm going to go through them one by one!

1. Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Glow Mixed Berry

- Very subtle pink tint
- Smells like blueberries! (in my opinion)
- Very moisturising, no greasy/stickiness
- SPF20
The tint is so subtle I don't really consider it when reaching for this one. The main reason I would reach for this one is because this packaging is one of the pinker ones. :P

2. Maybelline Baby Lips in 04 Orange
This was my first ever Baby Lips and I've almost hit pan on it. :(
- No tint
- Love the smell/taste! (Oranges are my favourite - smells like "artificial" orange, like chuppa chupps for example.)
- Did a remarkable job - since this was my first baby lips, it was the one that made me feel in love with the moisturising formula ^^
- No SPF
My favourite to reach for when I'm at home because of the flavour! :D

3. Maybelline Baby Lips in Lychee Addict
- No tint
- Smells nice, but not like lychee
- SPF20
- Very moisturising, no greasy/stickiness
I don't use this one very much to be honest.

4. Maybelline Baby Lips Love Colour in Berry Crush
- Lovely tint that is quite buildable - despite looking red in the tube, the colour on lips is more of a deep pink
- Smell/scent is tolerable, but I'm not a fan of berries.
- SPF20
- I don't actually feel like this one is as moisturising as the ones I've talked about so far. I don't know if anyone else has had similar complaints, but I do reach for this one for the pigment and it definitely does not do a comparable job in moisturising my lips.
I use this as a lip balm when I'm going to be wearing darker lipsticks because I think it really helps!

5. Maybelline Baby Lips Love Colour in Pink Lolita
- Lovely tint that is very buildable - the colour is as cute as it looks in the tube / as the name suggests! I love the pigmentation - it's perfect for softer looks with lighter pink and healthy looking lips.
- I don't notice the scent much - I think it's fruity?
- SPF16
- Decently moisturising! Not as good as the transparent ones, but not as terrible as the Berry Crush.
This one is my favourite. It's usually in my purse because it's great for lazy little me - one swipe with this and I don't even feel like I need lipstick or lipgloss because my lips look made up. Even with eyeliner, primer and concealer I feel happy with just this lipbalm on - it's the perfect pigmentation for me and I love the colour.

6. Baby Lips Electropop in Oh Orange
- Meh pigmentation - it's pretty sheer. Like most orange tints, it doesn't actually show up as orange, but instead just gives your lips that Korean healthy look that orange does. It's kind of buildable!
- Smells more like actual oranges than the transparent orange one I talked about! Not so much the artifical scent. I really like it but it's rather subtle compared to the other orange baby lips.
- No SPF
- Not as moisturising as the transparent ones, but it's passable. The electropop range in general doesn't "feel" as moisturising when you apply it - you can't feel that nice protective layer I suppose.
I like to use this one before I apply my Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in Rendezvous. Kind of to prime my lips with something a bit orange before going the whole way. It does a good job of that!
By itself it does a good job of just adding a natural, healthier look to your lips.

7. Baby Lips Electropop in Pink Shock
This is a slightly more pigmented, slightly more moisturising, no SPF version of Maybelline Baby Lips Love Colour in Berry Crush. I'd argue it also has cuter packaging.
I don't have any strong feelings about it and don't use it much, but I'll probably start reaching for it once I hit pan on my Love Colour in Berry Crush.

8. Baby Lips Electropop in Berry Bomb
- Meh pigmentation, quite sheer - yet having said that, it's purple so it's still obvious applied.
- Another berry scent :( I'm sure it's appealing to most people! I find it okay.
- No SPF
- Again, not as moisturising as its predecessors, but still does the job.
I reach for this when I want to build up to a purple!

So here's the verdict...

All of them:
- Glide on smoothly
- Do at least an okay job of moisturising
- Are very affordable! $4 each at priceline, but you can always get them at a 40% off sale ;)
- Smell nice, and have different scents
- Have adorable packaging

These three are good for:
- Moisturising with no colour
- SPF20 (Except the orange one!)

These three are good for:
- Building up to other lip products. I personally wouldn't wear these alone because they aren't flattering to me, but for some of you guys it might be.

These two are good for:
- Wearing standalone. That's why these two are often in my purse!

And that's why you need these eight baby lips guys.

I SUPPORT ALL YOUR BUYING DECISIONS. GO FORTH AND BUY YOURSELF ONE! I don't think you'll regret it! ^_^ And it's so cheap even if you do regret it, haha.

I hope this review was helpful and of course, all opinions are my own and what works for me might not work for you!

I don't know if other people also use these baby lips to prepare their lips for lipstick colours - do you do that? ^_^

until next time guys!

Moxie Box Club Unboxing & Review!

Hi everyone!

Today I have a Moxie Box Club unboxing!

For those who don't know, it's a new box (it only got launched last month! WOW!) that sends out five Moxie items of your choice for $30 shipped.

It comes in this beautiful cardboard box!

I'm in love with it to be honest. Pink cardboard boxes make me so happy. And look at that bow on the top!

Here is what was inside...

I'm not good at taking these pretty pictures zomg.

The items I chose were the pads, the panty liners, and the underwear! (SO CUTE)

The bonuses I got were samples of the overnights and the lindt chocolate :)

Tins, yay!

Here are my overall thoughts on the box...

♥ Love the packaging of everything! The tins are a great idea and I love that I have some different designs.
♥ Love free shipping! Since the items in the box are worth approximately what you pay for them, this can be REALLY handy for those who live far away from a Woolworths etc.
♥ Love how fast it shipped out! Even though they say give 14 days, it took them like three days to get to me. WOW.
♥ Love that you can change your plan (the contents and how regularly it's shipped out) at any time.
♥ CHOCOLATE OMG.
♥ Buying a box donates to charity! Read more about Pads for Pads initiative here

Things that be improved upon..
♥ "Bonuses". If you guys have seen Le Parcel or any similar such boxes that don't ship to Australia, you see they like to include random beauty gifts such as makeup or skincare. That would be a really great addition to an already great box!
♥ "Value". For $30, you receive around that amount in pads/tampons. Even though it's convenient, and saves you the hassle of going to a local Woolies or Chemist Warehouse, these places normally have sales and it will probably save you a few dollars to buy from there than get the box. (BUt then again, time is money. #realtalk)

Conclusion
I love my box and I can't wait to see how Moxie Box Club is going to grow and improve! I'm really rooting for them and I love love love the idea!

It is especially great for those who are embarrassed about shopping for their period, forgetful about their period, or just don't live very close to a stockist. (Also for packaging junkies like me who love pink! HAHA.)

Get your Moxie Box NOW by clicking here!

It will take you to a page where you choose to get a box monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly, and then after you get this screen where you pick your five items!

You can choose five pairs of underwear if you really love the design like I do ;D

My video as always ;)

xoxo pynkbunny

(I just realised my sign out was very similar to Moxie's "xoxo your ultimate wingwoman" HAHA!)

Bellabox May 2015 Unboxing & Review

Hi everyone!

Today's post will be a little different - I have a damn bad case of influenza and so when I tried to shoot my unboxing video I was coughing all over the place and my voice sounded quite icky!

So I'll just have a really detailed post instead :P

Here were this month's contents!

The box actually looks a little empty, but the little items are still packing a punch in value! Let's take a look at the info card..

1. Chella Cinnamon Highlighter Pencil (RRP $24.95, Available for $15 at Bellabox store)

I don't contour, but I really should!

Chella was the spoiler brand and I love the one Chella product I tried (an eyebrow pencil from a Violetbox a while ago) so I'm excited to try to learn to contour!

Bellabox even included this neato contouring guide on the back of the info card!

This card is cute enough for me to hang on my beauty wall for reference :)

(I usually keep all my info cards in a stack, it's a very thick stack but eventually I'll decorate my walls with all of them! mhahaha! ^^)

Even if it's unlikely I'll actually make good use of this item, it's an item I don't have anything of, so I'm happy to try it.

2. Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil in Olive (RRP $30)

A $30 eye pencil?! Bellabox is seriously spoiling us this month!

Eyeliner is something every subscription box veteran has too much of, but it's an addiction. For me at least. :D I love trying new eyeliner and comparing it and I have a hard time destashing it when I know I should. Silly me.

It's a beautiful black ("dark olive" - you know a brand is fancy when black becomes "dark olive" - the whole gold and black colour scheme also gives that away) with gold shimmers in it. The texture is so smooth and creamy! I don't actually have an eyeliner like it - unfortunately where I swatched it on my hand faded significantly after just four hours.

It was hard to take a picture that showed the glitters so this one is blurry!

If you have oily lids this product might not be for you

3. Impulse Romantic Spark (Sample)

Funnily enough I think I'm more likely to use this than the above two products.

The spray is teensy and convenient to just throw into your purse on the go! It smells nice and works for those little touch ups like when you feel self conscious about feeling gross :) My current little spray perfume is at like 10times larger than this one and I often worry it'll spill in my purse or something, so this will be put to good use! Hooray for useful samples!

4. Chapstick Cookies and Cream (RRP $5)

I'm a lipbalm addict. I have so many damn lip balms and I have NEVER emptied a lip balm in my life. (I'm close to emptying my Pure Smile Mixed Fruits, but only because I went and bought a backup and I needed to justify that purchase. I digress)

So I was so excited to see this! Cookies and cream is my second favourite ice cream flavour. Not only that, we're one of the first to try out this Chapstick - no kidding! I did a quick internet search and the only website that even mentions it is Bellabox.

BB, why you so good to us this month???

I opened it up and smelled it and it smelled delicious. Then I took a sanitary lip brush and actually applied it to my lips and it didn't taste as good =( Tasted like chapstick to be honest. But the smell is still amazing and exactly like cookies and cream. Since I have so much lip balm I might give this one away/swap this away though.

5. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream

Wow! A palmer's sample I'm actually very keen on using!

Contains Shea Butter, Retinol AND Aloe?!

We all love those ingredients, Shea Butter is a deep moisturiser and Retinol is an active ingredient known for its anti-aging properties... But how far are these up the ingredient list?

Not very... It seems..

Either way I'm excited to give it a try =D

Bonus: J Bronze Tanning Cream

NOPE I have a bunch of these already and nothing to do with these  - next!

Overall...

A really good box with over $60 worth in items! $60 is in full sized items alone, which is damn impressive for Bellabox.

You even have 3/6 of the items fitting with the theme of "Sugar Fix" - Cinnamon, Cookies and Cream, Cocoa! ^__^ Even the perfume smells kind of sweet... okay that might be a bit of a stretch haha!

Most other months have like one item fitting the theme max, so I'm impressed!

GOOD JOB BELLABOX. YOU'RE DOING OKAY. MAYBE ONE DAY YOU'LL BE A REALLY GREAT BOX.

For now I just pay the $15 expecting only a blue cardboard box and a few products I might want to use. My expectations are so low this box really impressed me. Congratulations Bellabox.

until next time guys!

Bradbox ♥ Mystery Box ♥ First Impressions & Review! ♥

-- NOTICE --

PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR MY LATEST POST ON WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO BRAD, AND WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU'VE BOUGHT OFF HIM.

It's important!

--

Hi everyone!

If you're not in the Korean Beauty Addicts Australia group, you probably haven't heard of Brad Rilen. So I'm going to tell you a bit about him.

♥ HE'S TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME.

Recently, he did five mystery destash boxes
Each were $40 (including shipping) and would be filled with at least that much worth in Korean beauty items.
Only three brands were spoiled and no items were spoiled: Etude House, Innisfree and Elizavecca. I LOVE Etude House, so of course I had to jump on that!

The reveal! ♥

Here are the contents of my box! (I'm so impressed this all fit in a Memebox!)

Etude House Age Defense Essential Softener (full size, RRP $22USD)
echoice Dear Iris Perfume Body Mist (full size, RRP $4)
Etude House Belle Dress Body Lotion (full size, RRP $9USD)
Beauty People Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Glimmer Bronze (full size, RRP $20~? Conflicting sources on this)
Innisfree Jeju Volanic Pore Toner (70ml sample, ~$8)
Etude House Moistfull Colagen Sleeping Pack (30ml sample, ~$3)
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream (20ml, ~$5)
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion (25ml, ~$7)
Etude House Age Defense Emulsion (25ml, ~$4)

That's ~$87! And I rounded down for the samples guys. So it was more than that. O:

I was so happy and excited with this box that I had to refilm because my constant "OMG" noises were making my microphone upset and creating audio issues xD

After filming I asked Brad if he was a psychic magician because I loved every single item in the box and he said he watched my videos so he knew what to pick! What a thoughtful and sweet guy! Seriously!

You can't purchase this exact box since it was a "destash", but he is starting his own box business! It is very exciting and the first set of boxes is already on its way out, and I'm so excited to unbox it for you guys soon.

For all the latest updates on Brad's new Bradbox, join the Korean Beauty Addicts Australia group here . Hopefully he gets his own website soon so it's more convenient for you guys to have a look, but it's very new and I'm always all for giving you guys the latest in Australian Korean beauty -.^

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and as always, here is my unboxing...

Fun fact: usually youtube gives you a default thumbnail, but most people change it so it's obvious what you're doing with the video. (Eg. Adding a title with bigger text, or making it more obvious it's a box by choosing a thumbnail where the person is holding up the box.)

But I quite like the default youtube chose, and I almost kept it... It looked like this...

This is an image! The real video is up there guys!

Just me holding too much stuff and being unable to hold it. PRETTY GOOD REPRESENTATION OF THIS BOX. TOO MUCH STUFF I'M IN LOVE WITH OMG WAT DO

Thanks for reading guys and I'll talk to you all later!

Lots & lots of love,

pynkbunny xx

Style Story Sample Pack!

Hi everyone!

Shortly after mykbeauty's giveaway, Style Story did one too :)

This is the little sneak peek they had on their facebook page - some of those samples looked really exciting! You have the Skin79 hot pink BB cream, the Tonymoly red apple cream, I believe that sample in the right corner is by Skin Food...

Here is the one I got!

It also came in the little plastic with the card, but I didn't think they were important to show :P

I'm excited to use all of these and I'm really happy! I always love getting free stuff, and especially if it's Korean beauty - I know I'll use it ;)

Contents:
♥ Missha Super Aqua Ultra Water-Full Cream
♥ Skin Food Aloe Vera Cream Cleanser
♥ It's Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effector with Vitamin C
♥ It's Skin Star Cream

These are all great brands and I'm especially keen on trying the Vitamin C - everyone loves some Vitamin C for the skin! ^^

It only took eight days to get to me since entering! Their giveaway is still on if you're an Australia resident. You can see the competition on their facebook here.

The only downside to this little pack?

The card that comes with it brings traumatic memories of the February Style box I got a while ago =___= You can see that unboxing here if you wish!

With lots of love,

myKbeauty Sample Pack - Review and first impressions!

Hi everyone!

If you're located in Australia, you might have seen a facebook post floating around about the  free "MyKbeauty Korean cosmetic sample pack". All you had to do was like and share a post, and then message their facebook your address.

Frankly I was very impressed with how this giveaway was carried out, so I'm going to be blogging about it!

Look at these very clear instructions! I love it!

The promotion went from Feb 8 - Mar 8. (It's ended now, but if I see another one come up I'll definitely tweet it out!)

On the 19th of March I received a facebook message telling me what samples I would receive, as well as links to their website in case I liked my samples and wanted to purchase them. Excellent!

Then today, on the 25th of March, it arrived!

(The Hello Kitty didn't come with it, it's just covering my address :P)

Am I just in an impressed mood, or is it cute how their logo is up in the corner?

The little booklet inside had a handwritten message!

I'm a sucker for handwritten messages guys. They're giving me free stuff, and they're thanking ME. What is going on?!

Opening the booklet, I see my samples! They're samples for some pretty nice and expensive brands, so I got very excited to use them and immediately got to it!

[Sum 37] Secret Programming Essence
According to their website:
– The 1st place of re-buying rate among prestigious essences.
– Sold in a single item per every single minute and 99% of consumers were satisfied with this essence.
– 80 kinds of natural vegetable fermented ingredients.
– Absorbed inside of skin and displays fancy & radiant skin.

After reading all of this I was excited to try it in my routine!

My impressions:
♥ The sample was a very generous
♥ It really did smell like fermented vegetable! (Take that as you will)
♥ My skin loved it! It was very moisturising compared to my usual (more mid-range) essence!

[Sulwhasoo] Goa Ampoule

– The ampoule for intensive nutrition to fortify yout skin for a fine skin texture.
– Six ampoules are provided for six weeks of intensive care with freshness.
– The scent of prunus mume of Sulwhasoo Goa line is used at sulwhasoo spa and the most preferred scent to relieve stress and fatigue and leave you in composure.

My impressions:
♥ The scent was apparently stress-relieving but I didn't enjoy it at all - I can't put my finger on what it smelt like... The closest thing I can think of comparing it to right now is Chinese herbal medicine but I don't think it's right... Regardless, I didn't enjoy it, but it was a bearable scent.
♥ It was really thick for an ampoule! The thickest I've used. The colour and texture was actually almost milky.
♥ I couldn't explain the feeling on my face after I had applied it... Rather than the soothing feeling the Sum 37 essence gave me, after I applied this I really felt like it was doing something to my skin! Is this a feeling anyone else ever feels from their korean skincare at first time usage...? It really usually only happens to me when I apply a facial mask, so I take it as a good sign!

The morning after using these two products in my routine instead of my usual essence and ampoule, my skin actually looked a lot clearer and more radiant! I was very impressed - I'm not sure which product it was doing it since I used both (oops)... But either way, I should probably only use one each night for a while to figure out which amazing item did this...

None of my Korean skincare is currently this high end so this sample pack is actually making me re-think my Korean skincare decisions... :O

I have never purchased from myKbeauty before so I can't say anything about their service, but I love how professionally this giveaway was conducted and I can't help but feel like it would reflect on their company in general! An online retailer that's Australian based would definitely save us all on long waiting on shipping times, the heartbreak when we realise that the shipping on our $200 order adds at least another $50... Did I mention that shipping is free on myKbeauty?

I had a look at some of the prices and they are more expensive than TesterKorea - but if you consider shipping and shipping time, it's a little like paying a small premium for your items to arrive faster :) And you'd be supporting Australian kbeauty retailers so that they can hopefully become cheaper and have more of them located in Australia!

This little giveaway has definitely convinced me to trust this retailer, but of course before 100% endorsing them I'll do a haul for myself and let you guys know how that goes. I just thought I'd share my experience with this pack, as well as mini first impressions for the samples I got!
(PS. I wasn't paid to do this post and this giveaway was open to literally anyone that liked and shared - these opinions are 100% my own! :D)

Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk to you guys again soon!

With love,

pynkbunny xx

Some more information on how I bought everything..

My latest obsession has been buying other people's rejected subscription box stuff :P

Being in the subscription box community, I had often heard of people talking about swapping and selling unwanted subscription box items. But I had no idea where! After lots of research, I finally found the place, and I've been having lots of fun selling my unwanted items and then recycling the money back into buying more :P

I've had only positive experiences in swap/sell/buy facebook groups but of course you have to use common sense - only use Paypal, pay for tracking, ask for lots of pictures, and if you think anything is suspicious, then don't do it!

I personally have no qualms over buying things that have been swatched once or opened so this has been a great find for me :) Of course, it's all about comfort level - I understand the hesitation to trust strangers over the internet but the admins of these groups are simply lovely and take really good care of us Australian subscription box swappers!

I can't wait to do my nails with all these polishes... And I have so much more stuff on the way gar :(

If you enjoyed this post/video, please let me know! Because I probably won't bother if it doesn't seem like anyone likes them :P

Thanks for reading everyone!

xx athy
