November Bellabox 2015 Unboxing & Review

Hey lovely people!

Today is November 23, so wow. This November Bellabox arrived in November! ;D

The theme is Ready, Set, Glow!

Contents

1. Laqa and Co Cheeky Lip in Cray Cray (RRP $35) (Spoiler item)

2. Invisible Zinc 4Hr Resistant SPF 50+ (RRP $21.95)

3. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Golden Shimmer (RRP $32.99 for 50ml, $6.60 for 10ml sample)

4. Sebamed Moisturising Body Lotion (RRP. $12.50 for 200ml, 95c for 15ml sample)

5. Ulta3 Nail Polish in Mojito (RRP $2.30, I swear I've never seen an ulta3 polish retail for more than $2 in real life though)

Bonus Bic Soleil Glow Razor (RRP $7.50 for 3, $2.50 for 1)

Bonus Carefree ultra Thins Regular (RRP $4.29 for 10 pack, 85c for 2)

Total value: $73.10

Information Card

What do I think?

Not the most glamorous box, but definitely a practical one. I can't exactly say I won't use everything... Ulta3 polishes are a cute present for a niece, and the body lotion could come in handy for those of you who don't have too much body lotion... :P The body lotion is intriguing though, I have to admit.

I'd say I'm content with this box. =)

My only real complaint this month: where is the tiffany blue box? D:

Swatches

Top: Laqa and Co Cheeky Lip Crayon in Cray Cray
Bottom: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm in Rendezvous

After putting on 3 coats, the difference between these two oranges really stand out. The Laqa & Co lip crayon is very matte, and it's a rather pink orange. Which is probably using it as a blush actually looked pretty good when I randomly decided to try it on camera!

Third: Laqa and Co Cheeky Lip Crayon in Cray Cray
Fourth: Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Mischievous Mauchieuse

The texture is very close to the Revlon Colourburst Mattes =)

You can see the crayon used as a blush in this picture! Pretty decent :D

Sorry for my face, haha.

Hope you guys enjoyed and sorry for the huge hiatus xx

Video as always;

Bellabox October 2015 Unboxing & Review (ft. Lena!) (ft. WTF why did I buy this box!)

Hi everyone!

You've all heard of Bellabox by now, and maybe if you've been following my blog for a while, you know about my very tumultuous relationship with Bellabox :P (read: love-hate)

So without further ado, the contents of this month's box...

The contents

It was hard to make this box look good. Like, really hard. xD

Give me some credit guys!

Total value of this box:

1. Coastal Scents Eyeshadow (? no value given)
2. Ardell Strip Lashes RRP $10 (read as: $5, because noone buys from Priceline full price)
3. Aspar Hand Cream 10ml ($2.80 value)
4. Avene Skin Recovery Cream 5ml ($4.50 value)
5. QVS Eyeshadow APplicator ($6.99 value)

Bonus
Macadamia Natural Oil ($1 value)

Total value:"$25.30",
(which is really more like $10 if you consider how much I'm willing to pay for everything in this box.)

People pay $17.99 for these boxes Bellabox. Step it up.

$25.30 of value of $18 is still atrocious considering the quality of the products.

Final verdict:
"Wtf this box sucks lmao why did I resubscribe" - me literally everytime I receive a Bellabox. Why do I never learn? :P

Unboxing video as usual:

How were your October boxes? As bad as mine? Let me know!

June Bellabox Unboxing & Review ~ Winter Warrior! 2015

Hi everyone!

Just a quick fix spoiler post~

My June Bellabox arrived today! In June! WOW.

You know what's even more amazing?!

THE CONTENTS.

The information card~

This box was $15 for $90 value!! O______O

Bellabox rarely ever impressed me (quite the opposite actually) so just... wow!

I love and would use ALL the colours in the Stefan eyeshadow palette, there's two lip products which I LOVE and I do say I want from my profile, and I love single sachet makeup cleanser wipes. I think they're a handy sample. :K

WOOOOO~

Who would've thought that Bellabox could impress me, even amongst all the boxes of things I've been receiving lately?

My unboxing video as always~

stay safe and healthy everyone!

Bellabox May 2015 Unboxing & Review

Hi everyone!

Today's post will be a little different - I have a damn bad case of influenza and so when I tried to shoot my unboxing video I was coughing all over the place and my voice sounded quite icky!

So I'll just have a really detailed post instead :P

Here were this month's contents!

The box actually looks a little empty, but the little items are still packing a punch in value! Let's take a look at the info card..

1. Chella Cinnamon Highlighter Pencil (RRP $24.95, Available for $15 at Bellabox store)

I don't contour, but I really should!

Chella was the spoiler brand and I love the one Chella product I tried (an eyebrow pencil from a Violetbox a while ago) so I'm excited to try to learn to contour!

Bellabox even included this neato contouring guide on the back of the info card!

This card is cute enough for me to hang on my beauty wall for reference :)

(I usually keep all my info cards in a stack, it's a very thick stack but eventually I'll decorate my walls with all of them! mhahaha! ^^)

Even if it's unlikely I'll actually make good use of this item, it's an item I don't have anything of, so I'm happy to try it.

2. Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil in Olive (RRP $30)

A $30 eye pencil?! Bellabox is seriously spoiling us this month!

Eyeliner is something every subscription box veteran has too much of, but it's an addiction. For me at least. :D I love trying new eyeliner and comparing it and I have a hard time destashing it when I know I should. Silly me.

It's a beautiful black ("dark olive" - you know a brand is fancy when black becomes "dark olive" - the whole gold and black colour scheme also gives that away) with gold shimmers in it. The texture is so smooth and creamy! I don't actually have an eyeliner like it - unfortunately where I swatched it on my hand faded significantly after just four hours.

It was hard to take a picture that showed the glitters so this one is blurry!

If you have oily lids this product might not be for you

3. Impulse Romantic Spark (Sample)

Funnily enough I think I'm more likely to use this than the above two products.

The spray is teensy and convenient to just throw into your purse on the go! It smells nice and works for those little touch ups like when you feel self conscious about feeling gross :) My current little spray perfume is at like 10times larger than this one and I often worry it'll spill in my purse or something, so this will be put to good use! Hooray for useful samples!

4. Chapstick Cookies and Cream (RRP $5)

I'm a lipbalm addict. I have so many damn lip balms and I have NEVER emptied a lip balm in my life. (I'm close to emptying my Pure Smile Mixed Fruits, but only because I went and bought a backup and I needed to justify that purchase. I digress)

So I was so excited to see this! Cookies and cream is my second favourite ice cream flavour. Not only that, we're one of the first to try out this Chapstick - no kidding! I did a quick internet search and the only website that even mentions it is Bellabox.

BB, why you so good to us this month???

I opened it up and smelled it and it smelled delicious. Then I took a sanitary lip brush and actually applied it to my lips and it didn't taste as good =( Tasted like chapstick to be honest. But the smell is still amazing and exactly like cookies and cream. Since I have so much lip balm I might give this one away/swap this away though.

5. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream

Wow! A palmer's sample I'm actually very keen on using!

Contains Shea Butter, Retinol AND Aloe?!

We all love those ingredients, Shea Butter is a deep moisturiser and Retinol is an active ingredient known for its anti-aging properties... But how far are these up the ingredient list?

Not very... It seems..

Either way I'm excited to give it a try =D

Bonus: J Bronze Tanning Cream

NOPE I have a bunch of these already and nothing to do with these  - next!

Overall...

A really good box with over $60 worth in items! $60 is in full sized items alone, which is damn impressive for Bellabox.

You even have 3/6 of the items fitting with the theme of "Sugar Fix" - Cinnamon, Cookies and Cream, Cocoa! ^__^ Even the perfume smells kind of sweet... okay that might be a bit of a stretch haha!

Most other months have like one item fitting the theme max, so I'm impressed!

GOOD JOB BELLABOX. YOU'RE DOING OKAY. MAYBE ONE DAY YOU'LL BE A REALLY GREAT BOX.

For now I just pay the $15 expecting only a blue cardboard box and a few products I might want to use. My expectations are so low this box really impressed me. Congratulations Bellabox.

until next time guys!

March 2015 Bellabox - Unboxing & Review!

Hi everyone!

Today I'm here with my March 2015 Bellabox unboxing and first impressions!

The contents~

The card...

Really disappointed to be honest. The box has so much damn green in it!

The only product I'll use in this month's box is the Palmer's day cream which is worth about $1.50.

Having paid $15 for this box (and new customers would have had to pay an extra $2.95!), it's a rather bad box personally. Even overall, the value of this box is $20.

I believe two of the items (the Kerastase and the Revlon) are repeats too.

Does any of this fit the #Selfie theme? Other than the eyeliner and the bonus foundation, not really.

Grr.

The most appalling part of this box was that the product information card claims that "the Nivea Sunlight Feel Face Veil offers a veil against both UVA and UVB rays."

That seems like blatantly false information because of the lack of PA rating on the sunscreen. The PA rating (have you ever noticed sunscreens with a PA+ or PA+++ kind of rating?) indicates protection against UVA rays. If there is any protection against UVA at all, it must be negligible because of the lack of PA rating. This is blatant false information.

I emailed customer service about this since I would be very worried for those out there applying this product to their skin expecting comprehensive sun protection! In Australia sun diseases are extremely prevalent!

Six days since they have replied that they will "verify this with Nivea" and no response.

This shows a distinct lack of integrity from the company. (Did someone say - Wen conditioner making your hair fall out?)

It is obvious Bellabox does not care about their customers and will put whatever product in the box as long as the companies pay them.

You're seriously better off spending your money on buying stuff you want than this silly website. But you can click through if you want to buy one anyway. It would cost you $17.95 and I'd highly recommend a different box though. (I'm looking for options to switch to if you guys have any suggestions! The ones I know are Violetbox, The Parcel, and Lust Have It. My experiences with Lust Have It are awful so I've already ruled that one out, hahahaha.)

February 2015 Bellabox - Harper's Bazaar Edition! Unboxing & Review

Hi everyone!

Here's my Bellabox for this month!

Yup, it's the Harper's Bazaar edition - there were three magazines you could have received this month, and to be honest I was hoping for Cosmopolitan (I think Cosmo is honestly so hilarious!)... But Bazaar is cool too :) There's a lot of pages that would look good on my magazine page wall so hooray :)

Here's the information card with the value of each item!

A lot of samples I won't go near but that's alright - I get a shiny magazine and an Essie nail polish!

Mine is in "Take It Outside" and it is a gorgeous grey colour!

Sorry my application is quite messy - I think that the polish still looks quite nice despite me uncoordinatedness which really says something about the polish!

It was really easy to apply, the formula is nice and thick, the brush covers an entire nail with one swipe and it dries reasonably quickly :)

The Essie polish really does live up to the hype!

For my first impressions and unboxing, please check out the video below!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Bellabox November-January Spoilers, Reviews, First impressions... AND MY HUGE SUPER-LONG FOLLOW-UP!

Hi everyone!

Long time no blog!

I actually have quite a massive backlog of blogging to do, but this is probably the most pressing because my view on Bellabox has been so rapidly changing ever since I first subscribed in November that I feel like I should write a substantial post.

My video on my first Bellabox in November was not uploaded because they were missing a spoiler item (the coastal scents palette) and I wanted to give them a chance for their customer service to send me the item. So I called them up, and the customer service person was very nice and said he'd send me the palette and some extra goodies too. Seemed like a good solution!

The contents of my November box!
However, shipping was very slow - about a week after the call I had to leave for Japan. When I came back, I had this from Bellabox..

Really not impressed! Whatever that tube was, it was punctured and had no product left, the blister really is extremely meh because I rarely ever get blisters (and it's not really a beauty item, so why would anyone be particularly interested tbh?), and the only thing that survived was the eye mask which I actually am sort of happy to get... But where is the palette?!

I DON'T KNOW. But the state of that envelope... I don't think the palette would have survived anyway...

Anyway, so I considered calling customer service again, but I came back from my trip in January and I would feel silly about calling about a December box - why would they have any palettes left anyway?

Soon after I unboxed my December Bellabox...

I felt quite meh about this box honestly - I wanted to try the Enbacci stuff but my backlog of moisturisers and essences (from memebox mostly) was so extensive that I still hadn't gotten around to it... So up until today I still have touched none of the products. At least the December box I tried out the Appelles set, Nuxe oil and Palmers oil!

THEN COMES JANUARY.

What a game-changing month for my Bellabox career!

I thought it marked the month I unsubscribed, but boy was I wrong.

Here was my first impressions - I thought I would use nothing from this box, the pouch was tacky, the lip colour was meh, the samples were meh... The only thing I would use was the tea which was $12 of value, and that doesn't make up for the $15 I paid for it...

And then I tried the tea. Wow. I loved the flavour, I loved how the morning tea made me feel energised in the morning and the night time tea made me feel relaxed and calm. I loved how it actually felt like it was motivating me to feel healthy.

I soon realised that six days of this stuff wouldn't be enough and I wanted more of it!

So then I went to the Bellabox Australian Swap community I joined back in November when I was (in denial about not getting a fuse nail kit) and posted up the items I had left from November-January to swap for more teatox... within a few hours, I have two swaps arranged for two items I wouldn't have used, and all I'm paying is $8 each in shipping for twelve more days of teatox! I think considering the 14 day is $29.90, I didn't get a bad deal at all :)

I've always been envious of those located in the US for this reason... It's so much easier for your subscription services to be worth it to you with just one product you like ^^ ~ And for this reason I'm going to be staying subscribed to Bellabox! At least for another month. I'm very bad at unsubscribing I know I've said it every month since I've first gotten the box...

But finally a huge wall of text that accurately summarises all the feelings I've ever had about Bellabox. :)

And about the SkinnyMint Teatox... I will post a full review on that once I've finished the full 28 days (which I should be getting no problem at the rate my trades are going! Hoorah!) I don't really care for the detox part, I honestly just enjoy the taste a lot more than other teas I've tried, but I weighed in because I know people will be curious about the results! I honestly don't expect the tea to do anything though.

Happy to answer any more questions you guys have about Bellabox! Hopefully February marks the month where my opinions on Bellabox get a bit more stable, :)

MEMEBOX POSTS WILL COME SOON I SWEAR sorry guys!

xoxo
